Self Employment Program
Phase 1 - Assessment

During Phase 1 of the Self Employment Program, the following activities will take place:

Referral from your EAS counselor to the Self Employment Program

Attendance at an Orientation Session

Participate in a 3 day "Assessment & Planning" Workshop
Primary focus…

• Limiting Risk
• Planning Skills & Tactics
• Marketing & Communications

• Business Viability
• Your suitability for the SE Program

Complete Service Canada - Self Employment Program application paperwork with Employment Counsellor

Application forwarded to Service Canada – approximately 3 weeks for approval

Upon approval from Service Canada, you will enter into Phase 2  of the Self Employment Program.  At this point, the 52 week program begins.
